Love the way the laptop keys have registered Rob

How's the family standing up to the pressure of being 'subjects' - or victims as Pete calls them :D

It too me ages to work this out ... For some reason I first saw it is hot lit up water coming out as a fountain with steam aiming off it ... Very surprised to then find a face I the steam ...

Ha, Hamish, that's funny. Never saw it that way, but I can kind of see it now.

Chris, they think I am bonkers, but have admitted I've come up with one or two shots of them they like. They both use images I've taken as their Facebook image, so I must be winning them over. They both use to run for cover whenever I picked up a camera, but now they try to ignore me, trusting that I just might, beyond all expectation, get a half-decent image.

Wish I'd done the pic in portrait format. Would have got more of the keyboard trails. Oh well...

Brilliant take on the subdued light portrait - exchanging the soft glow of light from a fire or lamp on a book for the glow from a Macbook keyboard. Excellent stuff! :)

When I used to use more film (with an SLR) and was taking portraits, I often used to sacrifice the first roll getting the subject used to being photographed. By the second roll they had relaxed and become 'used' to the camera (I even heard stories of photographers not even putting film in for the first 20 - 30 shots!). Ina either ignores me or, more often, is more than happy to pose! We live near Babelsberg film studios and she says she is still waiting to be discovered! :)

Thanks, Pete.

You know, I would hate to have my photo taken on a fairly regular basis, so I do have sympathy for them. On the other hand, the girls are far more photogenic than I am...
