Just for Show David and Goliath

Although our research ship the Shackleton was all of only 1500 tons, when I first returned home after a 6 month trip in the Indian Ocean, I walked down onto Mevagissey harbour, it all appeared quite surreal, looking at what for there at Mevagissey, are quite large trawlers , my first thoughts were, cripes our life boats are bigger than these fishing vessels. It was a bit like being in a miniature toy town.
Just as well they dodged each other here Ivar

Indeed Julian, but it generally is smooth waters right here. I've always liked the seas, ports and ships of all kinds as well as boats. Except when leaving Panama for Aussie land, being seasick:(for three days as the waves washed over the bridge on our 18 ooo tons ship. That was a rollercoaster and I felt we were all in a small life boat at the time.

Yes being in Hurricanes heaved too for a couple of days waiting for it too pass, is something to experience and can never be explained adequately, the waves and troughs are quite something. Never been sea sick, thankfully but it looks quite painful at best.
