DID GO BACK TO THE BENCH

Always interesting going back to a place you took photos recently. Sometimes you see new things, or different attractions are picked up on and used.I like to find what is there rather than look for something. I went back to the seat and it was dark except for some street light. The blobs are from the navigation red and green buoys, in Plymouth sound.

Longish exposures on tripod.

Triple wow, Julian. Each one is perfect. The last reminds me of a viol, or cello head. Love the coloured blobs. These are great shots.

Thanky, I was not to sure. Sometimes the stimulation got from coloured images can give a false impression of their value as an image. At least I find so, especially very late evening or early hours of the morning, messing with photos. You post them at the time with a 2am head, only to look in the morning to wonder what you saw in them is not really there. Or is a bit naff.

I'm liking this bench Julian, every shot of it looks different and unique, despite having the same bench.
Next time you go, have a look at the bench from behind, would be nice if you could get oof parts through the gaps?

Adam yes I do have such images, several hundred maybe of the bench. Each time I stayed until my fingers froze. I only put on flickr or else where a very small number of my pictures. I am sure folk would soon get fed up with bench images, but I learn something new most times I take images, which is why I take so many. At the moment being fascinated with the out of focus navigation lights used along side something recognizable. At this time it is the stainless steel bench, with it's solid and reflective properties. Added the Bauhaus design influence which I find photographs well, it gives an hour or two of fun. I may add the bench is a fifty mile drive.

One which I quite liked and the second is posted in another bench thread somewhere.

Worth returning to. Each one is lovely.

thanky Ahmad, and Simon

I wonder if there is some hidden meaning behind this fascination with an empty bench?

i remember being told once that artists often painted empty chairs as part of trying to get a greater understanding of perspective ... of course there is also the idea that an empty chair is symbolic of loss?

or maybe you just like a good metal bench? ;)

One way or another, a great series ... Bein able to fid so many photos of a single bench is surly testement to a good eye!!

That's last one you've posted 'through the bench' is Magnificant!! Love the whole set, worth the revisit :)
