Summer is done, there are still a few stragglers down at the beach, but the shutters are going up, the stores are closing down, and soon there will just be us locals on the strand.

Puddle Jumpers

Like Pete says, a great series of shots. I always had the impression that it was always summer in southern California. Must be due to too many films.
 
That last shot is excellent! Many good ones in the set but the upside down image of the bikers is stunning.

Snowing here in the mountains today and trees are starting to turn on the prairies. Fall is here and winter won't be far behind.

Thanks Bill - well the locals like to think they have seasons here, even though in Blighty you'd be hard pushed to call 75F and Sunny an autumn day!

Thanks Glenn - always wanted to try that reflection idea - and it unfolded in front of me, so I took the shot - will try more (if we ever get any rain to form puddles) ;)

Thanks Kev - The reds all lined up nicely - no idea who's bucket it was, it was just there by itself!

Go on Chris,...own up! The scooter and the little red bucket are yours, aren't they? :-)

Great set, Chris. The Puddle Jumpers is my fav. Its a very fine image. (But did the blood no rush tae yer heid,...bein' upside doon like that...?) :-)

Thanks Paul - I applied a cross-processing filter to get to the final tones and enhance the existing look & feel
