I'd never heard the word "groyne" so I googled it and went to Google images and saw a lot of pictures of groynes. None looked like yours, though Glen. Fine image!

Damn fine indeed. Quite a new one too by the look of it. Very evocative structures, especially as I spent my formative years in that area.
