With VSCO Tri-X 400-. Of course no sooner had we arrived than it started raining. It was almost 80 degrees too. So we stayed near the creek so the more adventurous members of our outing could swim in the mossy fetid water. I got 6 shots then had to put the camera in a zip loc baggie. I am really struggling with the focal length on the DP2. I wish it was 35mm. I just can't get a good photo with it.

Fabulous set Steve. I know what you mean about 50mm focal length. I am actually enjoying the Dp1 out of the three cameras at the moment. The 28mm equivalent gives more creative options I find.

Love the first one - truly monumental! And the head out of the water is great. My only suggestion is to try and compose more off-centre.

Agreed Pete. There wasn't much room by the creek and I had a hard time keeping unwanted things out of the foreground. That said I am much more comfortable with 24-28-35. I will keep trying. On a side note, I am looking at a Bessa R4M with a 25mm lens. What do you think? The thing is I have Nikon FM2 with a 24. I was thinking of doing the Bessa with the 25 and getting that little 35 F2.4 they are selling or keeping the Nikon and getting a Voigtlander 40mm F2. After using the X Pro and XT for a year I much prefer the X Pro. I am going to sell the XT. I just never seem to use it much so I'm thinking I prefer the rangefinder style. I use my left eye so maybe that's it? Anyway, your opinion is sincerely appreciated.

Thanks so much Julian! I am much happier with the DP1. It was threatening rain so I decided to just take one of them and a zip loc baggie. I am going to keep trying to use the 2, but I just feel more comfortable with either 28mm or 35mm.

Yes I took just one out the other day. The Dp2, but on almost all shots that day wished I'd chosen the Dp1. Plus can you stop talking about 80 degrees and just how horribly hot it is,no envy of course,;) though I'll swap for our 12 degrees :(
