Dreich Edinburgh

Auld Reekie at her most sombre and foreboding.

This photo could have been taken decades ago and hand coloured.

It makes me shiver looking at it and brings back memories of waiting for the school bus back to Colington dressed in shorts, jumper and a thin mac. I don't think I have ever been so cold in my life. Brrrrrrrrr.

Damm these Merrills. I can still smell the smog of thousands of coal fires and feel the rain running down my neck.

Great shot...I like how the trees either side rise up to frame the edges...

A Merrill...???

Yes, the Sigma DP2 Merrill. The prices have collapsed of late, as they are bringing out a new model. Well worth checking out at Clifton Cameras.

I have decided to buy my long suffering COS a Merrill DP3 when they come back into stock. She so loves Rob and Julian's photographs.

She has been particularly kind of late and only kicked me once when I came back with an XE-1 and a 27MM last week.

Its no less than she deserves.
