For some reason (possibly because I bought Optics Pro) DxO recently gave me an upgrade to the Expert version of their FilmPack software so I have been taking another look at it. The application works rather well as a plug-in in Aperture so that helps.
I have a weakness for clouds - I could sit and watch them all day, and I tend to try to photograph them quite a lot. The results rarely match up to my expectations but I will keep trying and learning.
I like the way this render has worked out; it applies the Ilford Pan F Plus® 50 emulation with Gold toning. To my eyes the toning captures some of the ambience of the sea as it is around our British Isles: beautiful but cold and dangerous if you do not show it respect.

Sony Alpha 57 with Sony f/1.8 35mm prime; ISO 100, f/8, 1/1600. I forgot to switch back to RAW (no excuse - it was there in the viewfinder) so this is from a colour JPEG processed in Aperture and then DxO FilmPack.
