An old tradition in the northeastern part of the Netherlands, as in other parts of Central-Europe: easter fires. The western border of this tradition crosses the Netherlands. Coming back from a party of a niece tonight, we passed several of these fires...

Fabulous, Rense. Full of energy and what wonderful light.

The Easter Fires were banned at the last minute in many areas in Germany due to the risk of them spreading as everywhere is so dry.
