Just one of my favourite shots from a recent wedding!
Bit of a snap of the bride and her father over the shoulder of the vicar as they walked into the church...
I like photos like this, where I seem to have got a bit of the nerves of the bride without her looking too panicked!

That is very excellent indeed Hamish but then I, like you, like blown highlights and blacked out shadows in images. I think they add much more interest to the photograph.

I worked out that I like that effect ie high contrast, where it compliments low contrast ... If that make sense?
I'm really chuffed with this one because of that I think...

Tis a great shot mate, loving the highlights and shadows on this.
I think what makes it for me, is that, there is a very likeable high level of contrast throughout the frame on everything, except for the 'diffused' face of the bride caused by the veil.
And by doing so it draws you straight to, and what should be the main focal point of the day! The bride.
12 out of 10 on this shot! You should send this to a wedding mag/event etc or something to promote this excellency!

Funnily enough I have one of my weddings in a mag later this year I think... Only a local mag mind, I'm not that good!

I need to rehash my weddings website, I think this is going to be on there!

Very nice Hamish. I too like the highlight and the way the lack of detail in it leads you straight to her face and the expression it. I agree, it's a definite for the site.
