End of the Road Festival

Had a lovely weekend in Dorset at the End of the Road Festival.
Great music..food ..ambience (or ambulance as my mate would call it):)
But also really lovely use made of the woodlands ..especially for kids activities.
Tme to use the X100 a bit..
This one just had great light...but the first few pics just didn't look right.
So I waited and moved a bit and the second shot worked much better...and caught the little girl reading
Some things are worth waiting for !

Yeah, very nice mate, the line of te lanterns works better in the second drawing your eye down toward the seating area and books, the second is definitely a better image ...
Interesting to see both though and the thought process!!

Looks like a great place to explore with the x100!

Yeah, a really beautiful place and festival.
We'd would absolutely do it again, although probably not camping.
Well...it wasn't so much the camping as the state of the loos after a couple of days that did it for Fiona in the end.

what I enjoyed about the X100 at this sort of event was how unobtrusive it was. Anthing bigger would have intruded.
At the same time, no loss of image quality

I like the look and sound of this festy, I just checked out the bands playing and there's a few I would have liked to have seen. A little on the expensive side for the tickets, but it does look a good festy. might add it to next years list.

Hiya Vic
I can't recommend this festival enough. It's got my wife hooked... and she has not been to one ever before. She's now 51!
There was a real mix of people.. and loads of families with kids. And loads of young kids as well. not to mention us older ones!

As I said before.. The real downer was the loos. As well as a badly designed access track.

But... We would do it all again.
Nah..probably will.

It's a shame when the loos get bad, we always go to Beautiful Days and the loos there are great, it's starting to get a little big now but it's still a great festy with a real relaxed feel and none of that corporate stuff you get at the likes of V. I've said to the wife about this one so we may see you there next year.

Yeah, you wouldnt get that crop from many compact cameras thats for sure ...
The thing that bugs me about the x100 is im constantly having to remind my self that that is what it is ... a compact! it comes so close to the quality of much bigger cameras that i lump it in with them and sometimes feel let down when it doesnt perform as well as my d3 ... which is pretty daft if you think about it ...
