Erratic and Ingleborough

Lesley Jones

Otherwise know as Zooey
No - not THAT erratic. Having done my homework, I parked at the farm at the bottom of Twistleton Scar and with horizontal hail, I made my way up. It wasn't easy, but eventually I got to the dry stone wall along the top, where I found I could not get over. It took ages to walk from one end to the other, but they both ended in sheer drops. Either I was supposed to climb over, which at under 5 foot, was simply impossible, or I had got it wrong.

I was very disappointed, but making my way back down, I found two wonderful stones, with the added bonus of a 5 minute break in the clouds to give some decent light :)

Very nice composition Lesley. And wonderful lighting to. So it seems you too had a little encounter with Ms Sarah!! Without the threatening clouds it just wouldn't be the same and I really like that you chose to shoot from that side of the stone with it pointed out of the frame. Inspired!

Great capture Lesley.......... and quite a dramatic shot.

That's Britain in one photo for me - wonderful! :)

Pete - I understand now and thanks to all. I think the image has been resized a tad because it looks rather soft in here. I will tinker with it this afternoon and upload another version. I got the mat and frame from the old forum and I think Ian has done a very good job. It does make the overall size rather large though :)
