Exeter Quay

Nice shots - it takes me back, we lived near Exeter for 5 or 6 years in the 1990s. Hasn't changed at all.

I thought I had commented on this?, how odd must be losing my marbles.....I did say how I go to the Exeter area pretty much every year and I ddin't realise it was like this. I particularity like the last one of the bridge, nice

If you go to the Exeter area I recommend a hidden gem nearby which is where I used to live - the Teign Valley, which runs north from Chudleigh. The river here is the boundary of Dartmoor National Park, and the road meanders alongside it, through wooded riverbanks and with the rolling hills rising either side. A nunber of villages sit up the hillsides - not on the valley road - including Doddiscombesleigh, home of the famous Nobody Inn, and Christow where we used to live.

A lovely area to photograph, and also don't miss Haldon Belvedere, the tower on the top of the hill between the Teign Valley and Exeter, which can be seen for miles and is worth a visit to get a dramatic photo. The best one I've seen of the tower is this:

Like #3 and #4 a lot - they really tell a story about the place
