Experiments in Wormhole Holography

Confined to barracks today due to a health problem, I took the opportunity to conduct some experiments in turning a wormhole in my lawn into the projection room for a series of holograms.

As you can see, I have managed to get the image of the garden chair to render rather well.
Two problems though:
1). Horizontal hold is a bit off.
2). There's some fuzz projected into the background, which is supposed to be a teddy bear.

Aaah! A few adjustments and the seahorse's head appears! A bit better than the bear, but still with room for improvement.

Very encouraging. Horizontal hold still off a bit though!

OK, I'll come clean, it was part of my first attempts at getting to grips with ND filters.

It was a very bright day, so the filtering didn't have the effect I had imagined it might.

First of all, I tried an ND64, which gave me 6 stops. However, that wasn't giving me a shutter speed of as long a duration as I had hoped for, even with the aperture closed right down. Then I remembered that I had an ND4, which would stack on top with the aid of the stepper ring that I use with my coloured filters for film. That gave me 8 stops and it didn't take long to home in on a shutter speed that seemed to work.
I've got the feel of the principals now, so it was a worthwhile experiment. Good fun too.
