Farewell Old Friend

I like the look of your new bike, Rob. It looks a proper racer except for the mudguards. Steel frame I take it? Very good looking indeed.

Hi Rob

Enjoy

Cheers, guys. Yes, Brian, a steel frame. I wanted something for longer, faster rides, but I want to be able to use it all year round. Hence the mudguards. It wasn't expensive, only 650 quid, considering the price of some of these bikes. Saw one for six thousand quid!
Nice bike, Allan, more comfortable than mine, for sure. Have fun with it.

Oh yeah the prices of bikes is ridiculous, My old downhill Diamond Back was £3000+

Here you are, Brian, all the spec. Charge are a British firm, but the parts are made in Taiwann, assembled in England. It should arrive late next week, hopefully on Saturday, which is my birthday  Of course, I might not like it...but the company allow a 30-day trial period, and if you want to return it they pick it up, and give you a full refund.

Thanks for that, Rob. It looks a good rig for the price. Shimano 105 is good stuff. (Too bad you're not getting it until next week,...Le Tour ends tomorrow. ;))

Almost all bikes are built in Taiwan now.

Yes, good old Wiggers. Great to see him in yellow. Quite a life story he has had. His dad was a drug dealer, who used to smuggle drugs in Bradley's nappies! Lots of raw emotion there.
