All of them are very nice, Darren, particularly 2nd and 6th. This theme will be a very good collection with your wanting to go back next week. :)

oh great, emo/punk sheep with the colored hair. guess they stay out all night partying too. no wonder everyone's switched to horse meat.

great b&w tones in #2 & #6 of the curly haired bovines. also like the three cows looking over the backends of the 4th and 5th.

Great set!
Going again are we ... I'd like to see more photos ... But don't milk it... I'll have beef with you if you post too many pictures of cows!

I think #2 really presents the gloomy mood of the event. The textures of the entire shot...bring the sadness of the eyes to the forefront. IMHO...outstanding!

I wanted a rather somber sad & sad tones to these images, i think the theme suited them

Chap in blue was telling me about the cattle, these are lovely / stunning & expensive beasts he said (last pic), apparently they off to Leicester to Morrison's (supermarket) slaughter house to be prepared & distributed through their supermarkets as fresh meat.

Just goes to show that some supermarkets do care & sell quality produce.

3rd form last pics were off up the road to Bala to less mountainous area were weather is generally a little warmer to be fattened up prior to being sent to the abattoir

The same guy asked me if i was a beef eater..............well i was before visiting here was my reply hahaha. He also said you photographer types really take photo's of strange things hahaha. He declined my request for a photo so i got a sneaky few when he wasn't looking.

I also got asked why i am walking around taking photos by an official type, when i explained as a photographer (LOL) it was an interesting subject, he looked slightly puzzled and said or right fair enough, I told him the photo's were for private use and i have letter in my pocket seeking permission from the owner prior to my visit, he wasn't really bothered after that............phew thought i was gonna get some grief haha

was great few hours, & gonna start going more regular i think as its only 10 miles away.

Your story with the farmer/man , without that letter you could've got some beef from him eh ;)

Holy cow, the puns... so much bull....

8 - love the tones and the detail in the hide

13 - the men at work, so many years of work in those faces - I think there's lots of mileage in shooting the folk at the auction, and as they become accustomed to you being there, maybe they'll forget you're there and you'll be able to shoot away freely

11 - love he B&W and narrow DOF in this shot - you also got eye contact which helps build the emotional bond with the cow

My only other suggestion would be Colman's, or maybe Horseradish :)
