Hi all,
Been a while ...

Shot some portraits I'm quite pleased with of a lady called Faye

They were shot on Kodak Portra 400 with the Leicas - dev'd and scanned by UK film lab

wudya think? ... If your shooting film, I can thoroughly recommend trying UK Film Lab, there are a bunch more shots on my blog processed by them. Not cheap mind, but very good!

Hope you are all well? :)

They all look very natural. We know she's posing, yet she doesn't seem self conscious. The light and subdued tones complement each other perfectly. Good photography, which manages to be somewhat old fashioned, without being retro. Well done, Hamish. That's a hard thing to bring off.

Their prices are a bit expensive, but not has much as I paid Ilford. But I have to say Ilford did a stunning job. I'll reserve them for special occasions. Black and white only, of course.

These are very nice, Hamish. And look at the control on those highlights! The colours really are spot-on and I like the use of the book in the last ad the colour of her cardigan reflected in the sofa. Gorgeous.

I like Rob's comment about old-fashioned. Timeless maybe.
