Few More Film Cameras

i inherited a few more film cameras today. the guy who gave me the trip got a couple boxes of vintage electronics. inside one of them he found a konica ee-matic and a fujica 35-se. don't know if they work yet, but i had a quick look at them today before putting them in the car and heading into work. we've got a no electronics in the ops room policy for a little while so i can't play with them until tonight.

Hope they're in fine fettle! You never have too many film cameras :)

yea, i got them around 1 pm and i don't get off until 11pm. it's going to be a long night.. to be fair, he did text me a few days ago and said there was a fuji-something film camera and another that he thought i'd like. google supplied fujica, but i didn't know what model.

so the konica ee-matic doesn't appear to work. no meter, no noise when i press the shutter button and no advancing of the frame counter. it was free and i'm not really attached to this camera so i'm happy with it sitting on a shelf.

i like the fujica 35. a lot. but the shutter doesn't open. it makes a clicking noise when you press the shutter button, but i don't see the shutter opening. and (i think) it's out of vertical alignment and the rangefinder is dim. the meter appears to be working. it looks like you set the shutter speed and aperture rings, then they lock together so when you change one ring, the other moves in the opposite direction and the exposure stays the same. i'd love to get this camera working, any ideas?

Beth I've no ideas for this one.
I am sure there is some wisdom on here that can help , trouble is, there is often a good reason gear is given away, but lets hope you can salvage something.

thanks julian. i ordered a lens spanner wrench last night and know i have some lighter fluid around here somewhere so i'm going to try to give the shutter a good cleaning. i read that the vertical alignment doesn't really matter much so i'm going to wait to fix that one until i've figure out more about it.

the lighter fluid didn't work. the shutter still doesn't open when you press the shutter release. everything came apart easily enough. i was using a qtip to spread the lighter fluid around and the shutter blades aren't stuck together or gummy, it just doesn't open. talked to my buddy at work and he said none of other things in that box worked so i'm thinking these two cameras were just for display. but i may have to find a working fujica on ebay..

See it was all a trap in the first place to get you to shop on E-Bay, their tentacles spread wide.
