Fire breathing dragon

Hahahah!!
I was so not expecting that.
How do you not get into bother with the public around London?!
Was this a casual turn with the snapper and thoughtfully composed leaving those individuals seemingly oblivious to what you were doing? Or was this a drive by shoot along the lines of 'don't miss the moment' and leaving those individuals completely oblivious?

If love to roam around London with you Jim and see how you get these shots. Fascinating!!

Thanks Dan, I do the combination of all of the above actually generally. Basically I do whatever I can get away with ;).

For this particular shot, it was a drive (walk) by :).

Jim a nice catch. As Paul spotted and says the half figure works well. As does the bottle of beer and is that a spider? The light is good as is the colour.

What brilliant lighting Jim - the lighting and the dappled effect in the brick wall make it look like a full-on fashion shot.

You can almost see the selective lighting on he subjects.

The timing and poses are excellent as well.

I'd be sorely tempted to crop to 16:9, as it already has a very movie feel to it, and the wiiiiide format would really enhance that vibe.

Thanks for the kind words, you guys picked up a lot more details in this shot than I observed :D

Thanks Chris for the cropping suggestion, it would definitely add a strong movie feel to it. At the moment I am trying to focus on fewer aspects of photography (i.e., timing, composition, and willingness to commit), and not to consider too much else, so I can hone my skills in those regards (I hope this makes sense).
