Another from todays fire............pp'd in PS3, square Crop, I like the textures, the hazed out firefighters in the background and the reflection in the visor and the compo within the crop.

Works well Kev. Did you apply any filtration during the conversion / selected channels. Blue might be interesting and give more contrast and it might bring out more detail in the haze.

Just use Gradient filer as an adjustment layer, only have PS for editing so no topax etc. good idea for using channels will try that as a comparison later...Cheers Pete

Different Shot different PP, Channel Mix this time, think it pulls out the haze and creates an almost surreal and artificial feel but this shot loses some sharpness around the firefighter due to his proximity to the heat....

He looks like a gladiator in the first shot. Not the 90's program with wolf,jet and shadow but a gladiator the first time around. I like that you chose B&W on these kev and like Chris said that wall of heat is amazing!!
