First 2 RAW shots with X Pro

Prior to today, I've always used the JPEG with this camera (given today's results maybe wisely so.....). Anyway, I took the dogs out hiking this afternoon. Shortly after the first shot it started raining. Thank goodness for Ziploc freezer bags. When we got to the swimming spot it stopped briefly, that's the second picture. Both of these are with the 35mm lens which I guess is actually 52.5mm. I need to use the 18mm more. I'm hoping to learn more about RAW processing here. I used the Silver EFX Antique Photo preset on the black (or more like brown) and white one.

Ruby is irrepressible as usual. She has a motor that just does not stop.

Looking good Steve - especially like the sepia toned shot

Steve all good , preference I would go for the second.. I would keep to raw it is the only real way to find, develop and put your individual marks down. Shooting raw with all the things shut off such all the noise and auto sharpening give a flat file with endless opportunities. I can also imagine jpeg being useful was certain situations.

very nice first raws. i prefer the second as well, but it's more the dog's expression and the comp than anything else that i prefer.

what program(s) are you using? if lightroom or other adobe products, just beware you can get an odd watercolor effect with green foliage that seems to happen randomly. the jpgs are fine, but it's visible in some raw files and not in others. i shoot raw+jpg just in case the raw has it.
