First Chinatown,...Then This

Meg expressed a desire to see Chinatown in Los Angeles so we went up there yesterday. Also visited Olvera Street and Union Station. Dropped in at Freestyle Photo in Hollywood for some film and for some Rodinal and then a trek along Sunset Boulevard west to pick up the 405 south, from which point we inched along in traffic for the next hour and a half. As you can imagine, I was a thirsty laddie when I arrived haim.

This stuff went down very well indeed. Its not unlike a good pint of heavy. ("Bitter" for you Sassenachs out there in RPFsville.)

By the way, this brew was "hand filtered." In other words, I tried using flash, but I hated it. So I tried the flash again with my hand blocking the flash somewhat. What you see is what that behavior brewed. (Nowhere near the lighting skills of Grant's Ola Dubh, but I liked what it did.)
