Very nice - The film/processing has given it a vintage look Brian - also looks a little chilly?

I like it a lot too. I must be getting old, but the film isn't familiar to me. What do you use to scan? :)

Thank you, Lesley. That you're not familiar with the film is due to geography. "Arista" is the house brand name for film sold by a company called Freestyle Photographic Supplies here in the US. They're based in California actually, and although they sell some stuff related to digital photography, their bread and butter is film related stuff. The Arista EDU is actually rebranded Fomapan out of the Czech Republic. Freestyle also sells "Arista Premium, which is rebranded Tri-X (if it's 400 ASA) or Plus-X if labeled 100 ASA.

It's all great film at really great prices.

For scanning I use an Epson V500.

Thanks again Lesley.

I like this image. The close fellow provides some detail to what's going on and the nice line of the pier makes for a superb image.

Yes, Lovely comp. I really like the angle you've chosen for the pier, lovely with all the fishermen/people dotted along it.

I like that you have caught so many of the fisher folk actually doing something Brian. But it is the composition that makes this so much more. The way the eye is pulled back to the frame by the LH diagonal and lead out again by the intersection of the poles and the water to the end of the pier. Wonderful stuff.

Thanks very much, Pete. I know I'm stating the obvious but sometimes these things--the angles, you mention for instance-- are just there, like ripe fruit waiting to be plucked. Anyway, thanks again, Pete.
