Fleeing

A perfect example of the wrong settings making the right photo!

Fleeing-1.jpg

Leica M9 + 35m Leica Summilux M f1:1.4. ISO 160(! - had been shooting a sunset a few minutes before), 1/15s at f1:1.4. PP in LR and Nik SilverFX Pro 2.

I like it too, although I see it no so much as fleeing as running towards the cat. Maybe it's what I would have done as a child. I like the scooter near the middle with the child and cat off towards the edge of the frame. The slow shutter speed has added to this rather than detracted. The processing is very nice too (but then that goes without saying...) :)

I can't see your other images though :(

Very moody Pete - I see you embraced the grain then ;)

Thanks all. I had in mind dreams when I porcessed it plus a bit of The Third Man drama (no giant shadow unfortunately). It was quite dark around this square when I took the shot and you are of course quite right Lesley, he was headed towards the cat. I have one more shot taken here which I am still pondering.

I deleted my earlier message as i didnt describe my feelings.
Just yesterday it occured to me ... this photo is like a forgotten memory.
