For Ivar...

If Lutefisk is made as it should be, even I like it. But I have never seen or heard of Lutefisk soup. This must be an Icelandic variety. Lutefisk is a typical dish at Christmas in many Norwegian homes, mostly up north. In the west of the country, there are sheep which are preferred, dish named Pinnekjøtt. Elsewhere, the absolute most used dish at Christmas is Pork ribs. Which is what I prefer, I am a meat man.

But I have never seen or heard of Lutefisk soup.
My wife has a touch of Norwegian in the mix. I suspect this image would be more humorous to Americans who grew up with Campbell's condensed soup as a mainstay of quick lunches.
