For Paris

Because...I don't know why. I wanted to do something creative after a surfeit of awful news reports. This just seemed right at the time. Is there meaning to it? I think so. Just not sure what. Sometimes the doing is more important.

Perhaps it represents not fearing the shadows, keep living life as you usually do.

I'm not convinced, Christian. The shadow does not look menacing at all. In fact, it looks like an innocent young child. The adult, on the other hand, looks constrained, unyielding, fixed. I think we need more innocence in the world.

I'm not sure it says anything to me about Paris except perhaps to conjure Atget. Nevertheless, its a fine image, Rob, and thanks for conjuring Atget for me, which in turn conjures the Paris of old. So,...you did it!

It is a damn fine image I must say, Rob. I understand the motive very well and, in that context, I too saw a child-like, trusting figure in the shadow.
