That time of year already I do prefer the B+W, not sure why, it may be the landscape suites it more, along side the grain of the wood, which adds depth of interest. Both are good though.
Must remember to go chestnut hunting.

Thanks, Julian. I was thinking I should have used a lower f stop with the wood one, as the wood is a little too distracting. Anyway, thanks for your comments. Autumn is well and truly here!

Thanks, Chris. I'd love to do illustration! That's partially why I keep experimenting, to find out how to achieve certain results. One day, maybe...

Very nice and I like the texture of the wood and I prefer the composition of the monochrome one. What I would like to see is a shot of just one, in colour with the dark background though. They'd make a super pair of images I think.

Fine but autumnal here but no chestnuts. Catching up with posts this morning while sorting emails etc from home. My eye has gone dodgy again and I have an appointment at 13:30 so decided to take a bit of a break today. Will process some images this evening.
