Interesting thoughts, Hamish. When I first saw this article, I thought you were talking about freedom from the rules of architectural photography and my first reaction was - there is no freedom! But I agree with you in that it really does help to step back and take a breath and try a fresh approach sometimes. It's never a good idea to take ourselves or our work THAT seriously, because we can get tunnel vision and lose sight of why we're all here in the first place. If it stops being fun, it's not worth it.
