From Some Walks

Here are some photos I've taken in the past on walks, haven't been out and about with working equipment enough recently to post more recent photos:

Both of these were with the Sony A55 + Minolta 70-210mm f/4 "Beercan".

This photo is actually a re-processed crop of a photo in my set of Alaska Photos that I referenced in my introduction thread (can be seen at swensonphoto.shutterfly.com/pictures/8)

All and any C&C is welcome. Hope you enjoy. :)

Lovely saturated sky as a backdrop on that first shot, nice highlight in the eye as well, really adds a spark of life.

Love that last shot for the great eye contact - and the square crop really works well

Looks a little dark on my screen perhaps?

I purposely edited this rendition to be a little dark and moodier. Though another issue is that I'm not working on a perfectly calibrated monitor, so it wouldn't be hard for me to have overdone the effect.

I like that first one a lot. That saturated sky, as Chris pointed out, is quite lovely and really serves to show off the bird. Nicely done, Eric.

#1 is a nice shot though I'd have been tempted to clone out the red bits on the bird. Given where they are it shouldn't be too difficult to get a good result.

..and I hope #3 was using a long lens...:)

Haha yeah the third is a heavy crop on a shot with the Tamron 200-400mm f/5.6 LD SP (75D), though I think it was taken closer to the 200mm end of the zoom.
