From the Tour With Zooey

Took this when Zooey was good enough to come all the way up
to London to show this visiting Alabama boy around. If you ever
have the chance to shoot with Zooey you should definitely not let
it pass you by.
Sort of thinking about entering this in the local club's "Store Front"
competition ??

i like that it's almost 2 pictures in that the building seems totally innapropriate for the flowers

Nah. I have no idea how to do a composite :)
This little shop was in the bowels of London in
a place known only to street wise Zooies :)

i wasn't saying it is 2 pictures ,just a startling contrast

Sorry Davie. I knew that. Actually that contrast is what I
liked and tried to bring out. I get way too glib with my replies
sometimes.

Thanks Pete. Unfortunately, I think you're right but I've tried to
somehow concentrate the focal point of interest and have not been
able to without making it look like it's been in the oven too long.
Will keep putzing with it.
Thanks again.

I remember you taking this one! This is the first time I've seen it and I love it. The old brick wall is just amazing and the whole has the feel of a colourful grotto. Pete may be right, but perhaps it doesn't need that much. If I put it in Color Efex, I would just darken the edges a bit and put some more light on that wonderful open door. It's already there, it just needs bringing out a tad more :)

Thanks Zooey. Will try a test print. When I sharpened ( Unsharp Mask 60/5/4 ) it, the
center was actually brightened slightly. I'm really afraid of darkening the periphery until
I get the test print .
