Monday AM. I think this is my favorite Fuji lens except for the one on the X100. The last three are the in camera JPEG Classic Chrome simulation.

Steve, the last photo of Mr. Hugo is gorgeous! He is POPPIN with dat classic chrome :D I also love the photo with Stanley looking at the camera squinting and Hugo chillen in the background..that's a GREAT composition. I also liked the first and second, photos of all three of them together.

Well I liked them all as well but the last one kind of stands out I'd say. I do see why you like the Fuji and also the 14, a great combo.

Lovely set. I'm very tempted by the 14mm, just thinking the 18-55 needs to go first!

Dave,

Thanks so much!!!!

It is a really great lens. I tend to prefer wide angle lenses so I'm probably not the best person to advise anyone on lens purchases. I also have the 18-55 which has never disappointed me. In the end I don't use it much because I just like having one focal length to choose from. For some reason, I like having limitations. You really cannot go wrong with that 14mm. The one I am REALLY excited about is the upcoming 16mm. My understanding is it is going to be F1.6. I hope it's not too big because of that. I would be perfectly happy with F2.8. The Fuji cameras really don't struggle with ISO 3200 so I would trade F1.6 for a smaller lens. Anyway....if you like wide angle lenses you absolutely cannot go wrong with the 14mm.

Also, if you don't mind manual focus that Rokinon 12mm is not bad. That wide everything is mostly in focus anyway. Last time I checked it was going for about 320 US $. My friend Cathy has the Rokinon 8mm Fisheye. It's actually very good optically.

I have to agree about the 14mm, it pretty much stays on my X-T1
