Hi
Thank you for excepting me into your group.
I'm a professional landscape photographer from Lancaster in that UK.
I shoot A Nikon D800 with Nikon Pro glass. I specialise in panoramic photography and after years of threatening to go back to film I finally went and bought the Fuji G617..
I'll still be using the Nikon for my commission work.. And the Fuji for my own projects.
I've just bought a Fuji G617 and was wondering if I can bracket in half stop increments on the shutter adjustment ring.. It clicks from one to another but unsure if it will works In-between this..
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Lee

Welcome, Lee. Great to have you here. I've just had a quick peek at your website - great images of Skye!

I can't help you with your question, but I look forward to seeing your work here.

Thanks guys
Mine is the fixed lens model with the 105 lens. But I'm sure it will be the same one you can get for the gx model.. I'm take a look at the link. Thanks Martin for the link..

it may have your model but its a great resource for old manuals in general If i'm thinking of buying a camera I always go here and download the manual first and have a read to get up to speed with it.

Hi Pete.
Thank you for your answer, this is what I thought and now puts my mind at rest. I'll wait for the rain to stop and go and run my first roll of Velvia through it.
Thanks for the feedback on my website

All the best
Lee

Hi Lee welcome. A serious landscape photographer, looks as if you must get dressed up mittens and all, not forgetting to set the alarm for early mornings. Beautiful work, with a quick glance the Sunrise from Side Pike amongst others stood out.
Be looking forward to you contributions here.

Hi Lee,

Greetings from across the pond. I haven't used the G617, but I have used an Olympus OM-1 and that allows you to choose aperture settings in-between the regular f-stop markings on the aperture ring. Not so with the shutter settings. I would be very surprised if the G617 doesn't work the same way.

Welcome Lee.
I like the images of the Lake District most on you site as I have visited many of those locations including hiking the summit of Helvellyn in snow and having to walk on compass bearings and pacing to find Swirral Edge after ascending from Striding Edge!

I will be interesting to see how you feel about the images on film when compared to the digital world.

I finally managed to wipe out the dust from my "viewfinder" to see you as a new member. So welcome to you Lee from the top of the world where Vikings still reside. Looking forward to your images and shall have a look at your web site, just now!

Well I've had my first 4 test rolls back and all is good, I didn't have brilliant light or sky's but created images that where well exposed, I now know where I stand and will hopefully produce better from now on. I've no scanner at the moment but looking into a Epson Perfection V600 so hopefully soon I will be able to post a few of the test images... I knew this Camera was good but I'm still amazed at the quality of the negs on the lightbox, the detail and depth in them far surpasses a digital file.
Well happy isn't the word..
Lee
