If this camera is not digital, why does it have a "PC sync connection socket"?

"Pronto/compur sync"
Pronto and compur are types of leaf shutter, this type of connection came about when they were very common and has remained a standard (as far as I understand anyway)
It is used to connect a flash to a camera where a hot shoe is not available. many cameras used to have a cold shoe and a pc sync socket
