This how I cook up my Thanksgiving turkey:
1)

I prep the bird outside - cooking is always better outside. It also leaves more inside for cooking the sides.
2)

I harvest my backyard herbs, rosemary, sage, marjoram, parsley, basil, et al ...
3)

Chopped ...
4)

Mixed with butter
5)

Separate the skin from the meat and rub the turkey down with the butter/herb mix ...
6)

Toss the bird into the BBQ ...
7)

Where it cooks and smokes away ...
8)

Viola!

Another turkey ... with extra herbs under the skin.
The skin is extra crisp and the meat literally explodes with juiciness and a touch of smoke. Delish!
