Gas guzzling dinosaur

Saw this gas guzzling dinosaur on our way through the dessert town of Gila Bend AZ yesterday :D

Since the I8 freeway bypassed the town, he's not seeing as many cars as he did in the town's heyday.

And people have taken to tagging him with graffiti

His mate, hissing Sid, has literally bitten the dust!

Very impressive chris!
Those images are so sharp I could shave with them!
You having fun with the x100 I take it?! :)

Thanks Dan - loving it so far - it's been a lot of fun to use :)

You know I've never been one to get off on the hardware side of photography, but from what I've seen of your shots Chris I am truly tempted to get one!

I want a Dinosaur.....:D

Great shots again Chris, love the first one, so whats the story behind it? any ideas?

Thanks Kev - There are a few service stations on American highways with various Dinosaur models outside - I assume it was a marketing ploy to get families in to refuel, buy food etc etc

Kind of cool retro these days :)

Vic - when it comes down to it, you can get a decent shot on pretty-much any camera these days.

However, the image quality, and the fast lens, do make the shots of the X100 very pleasing (at least to me) and the camera is a blast to use.

That fun factor means I enjoy playing more, and that's a big part of the final result I think :)

Cheers Chris, Filling stations round here wouldn't get planning for Dizzies, even though some of the forecourt signs resemble other monstrosities :D
