How strange. Very good image, has a real "middle of nowhere" feel. The stonework and sky go so well together.

My reading is that this is typical of religion. We are all born free in an open landscape, then religion places a locked door in our path. Many people beat at that door all their lives, but some of us find the path around it. Your reading might well differ :D Good image!

Nicely framed and exposed, Russ. I like Rob's interpretation and I also like that the view through the fate presents a brighter scene than that observed over the wall (a product of the slight vignetting I presume. This works well with the religious interpretation.
