Ghosts in Headstone Tunnel

Right - that's enough landscape for a while. After I dried myself off from Mam Tor, I drove to the Monsal viaduct. This time it was a tiring climb down into the valley and into one of the old tunnels which I believe were opened last year. It was dark, dirty and damp and I loved it!

Love the way the light plays down the walls all the way down the tunnel

Assume you had your tripod with you on your hols?

Yes - the tripod went everywhere this time. When it wasn't being used for its proper purpose, it helped me over the difficult terrain. I swear it saved me on Winnat's Pass on the first night - some bits of the path were very close to the vertical drops. I looked straight ahead and used the tripod on the dodgy side. It was quite good at flattening nettles too

Lovely composition Lesley and, as Chris says, the pools of light really make it along with the line of lamps following the curve.
