Very little bark left from what I can see Rob, but a trunk of a tree it is, as far as my knowledge goes and a very good texture that's captured too. And it isn't Helga either but why glacier park? Hard to tell, but it can be a birch tree and very old. From right after the glaciers left Potsdam I guess!

Thanks, all. It is indeed bark and a cut trunk of an old Willow lying on its side by the cafe on Friendship Island. As Paul has said it does look like a glacier seen from above and that is what struck me at the time.
