Glass and light

A glass head from a jewellery display cabinet photographed in front of some black out cloth along with a directional halogen desk lamp 2 feet to the right. PS'd to remove any light traces of the desktop lamp and then ran through a chrome filter. Finally a layer with PS's standard 'solar flare'.

Thank you Lesley and Rob. I think astronomical would be a good perspective Rob. Not sure what I was trying to create as it just happened.

Thanks Pete. This was one of those 'I know I can do something with this item but I don't know what yet' moments. I'm sure Helen is apprehensive when I go shopping with her as I often want the shop fittings and not what stock they have to offer. Getting more bonkers as every day passes...

That work really well. Love the coloured orb effect!

yes that works for me, great idea done well, very arty photo, nice work.

out of curiosity is the lens flare effect real or applied in PP

The flare was applied in PP Darren. PS> Filters> Render> Lens Flare> 50-300mm zoom. I'll attach the original file soon but it'll be a disappointment.

Thanks Alfie. Don't mention orbs or Helen will start getting all spiritual on me. Please....

So you're the same Pete. I'm sure some traders imagine I'm the client of a community care project when I pay for what appears to be the rubbish which no-one else wants. Or when I ask for a shop fitting and is usually when Helen acts as though she is nothing to do with me. Onwards and upwards.
