Thank you very much, Pete. I believe the line across the middle, my dear Hawkeye, is what they call "Newton Rings" from the scanning. (The film was rather curved side-to-side, and I couldn't get it to lie flat.) Would you agree that they are Newton Rings? Thanks again, Pete.

I agree, but I think it can apply to many other nationalities too, Darren. (I tend to think it's more "human nature" than "American nature.")
