i'm working the state fair command post this week. but i grabbed a few deserted shots of the fairgrounds on my way out. it’s around 60 degrees (colder than normal indoor temps for those of you in the celsius world) in the command post, and 80+ degrees and muggy outside. the lens fogged up pretty bad.

1/20 sec, f/4, iso 1600, 32-64mm @ 53mm, handheld. the ibis on the 100s ii is pretty good.

I like this photo because it has a something surreal about it. I expect that there's a mystery lurking in there. It's a bit David Lynchian. And those black plastic curtains around it provide a great backdrop to isolate the core of the scene. You did well to take the photo, Beth, misty lens to the rescue too. I don't know, but maybe there is also a very well studied editing behind the final image.

thanks gianluca. the curtains are bright red. i may have done a tiny little bit of photoshoppery.

I don't have a macro lens for the 100s ii.
That's no excuse. This could be yours...

That's about 10x what I just paid for a used 50/2.8 Sony FE-mount macro for the a7R3 (but mine isn't a tilt/shift either). That's an expensive chunk of glass

for that price i bought a fuji xt-4 & 80mm macro lens and a used 90mm macro lens for the sony and still had money to spend on that miniature carnival diorama.

I only have a 50/1.8 for my Canon FTb. I'm thinking of picking up a used Canon 70-210 f4 for it and see that it will macro focus at 70mm, so for $60 I'll add some versatility to my film camera lens collection (most of which have only the "standard" lens: for 50mm's and two 80mm's). I find that I usually have a medium zoom on my digitals when I'm out and about. This will allow me macro and zoom all in one!

Darn tootin'! Either that or you are a human tripod. For some reason I like shots of food trucks and such like temporary food vendor establishments. Maybe it's the light and colors. This is a really nice one, Beth, with no blown out highlights.
