Dan Down - The Steampunk Womble
My next door neighbour had an innovate idea, and suggested to me that I should do a 'Vintage photo Booth' experience for her customers at her temporary rented shop.
For you wuzza lot, it's in reindeer court, Hype its called.
Vintage fashion is in these days, and that's what she was selling. Once sold she'd say 'oooh, why don't you put it and have your photo taken upstairs.... £5 printed instantly'
Well, I've got to say.... The interest was astonishing. So many props to choose from.
I've never heard of anything like this before, a so call 'vintage photo booth' which wasn't really a booth, it was a man with a digi cam, back drop, flash n brollie, and a HP photosmart 6x4 printer. So there was nothing vintage about it, but what I think struck the customers the most was the principality of having their photo taken, and in their hands instantly, almost like a booth, but not.
All in all, it was a fantastic day, made more than expected and had soooooo much fun doing it.
Here are some examples...
I'll show you some more later today.
Thanks for looking
