Grasses At Pettycur In Fife

A big series here. I'd love to live in the house at the top of the hill. Beautiful place, but a strong wind was blowing...

Superb Rob. A great set and all very good. I do like the two shots with the house, they are very strong compositionally and tones .

the number 1 and 2 stands out to me albeit I like them all. Exellent work there Rob, with a small camera. Its simplicity make it even more beautiful. Cheers. Oh and a question, did you crop any of them?

I particularly like the texture of the grass in number 6. I am still stunned by the detail possible with these cameras.

Paul the detail is incredible but I think what is very different is that these cameras do not use interpolation , it avoids all that human mathematical intervention which seems to introduce all sorts of artefacts from the meddling.

These are wonderful. You are making your Merrills sing Rob.

I don't know what it is about the detail, or the tone, of the Merrills but I can feel the wind and the bustle and the smell of your, and Julian's, photos. I never tire of them.

Cracking set.

Hey, Pat, did you say my and Julian's photos stink?!

That aside, glad you like em! :)

Only a very sad man such as yersel wid contortify ma meanin!

What one meant was the explicit detail and fabulous composure conjures an image in ones mind that you can almost touch and which takes you back to frolicking' in the sand dunes with the wind whistling round ones trews whilst imbibing the fresh saltiness of the nearby briny.

Aye yer photies are mingin!

Thanks, Pat! Actually, I once commented on Julian's photography that I could smell the brine. So there ye go :)

Thanks, Dougie. I just might send off for a good print of No.2.
