This is his "mission statement":
Hi, I’m Nate Robert. Welcome to Yomadic.
I’m travelling the world, full time.
As a dilettante photojournalist writing about long term travel, and taking photos through 48 countries (so far), I’ve built an engaged audience of around 60,000 monthly readers. With you, that makes it 60,001. Since my journey began, Yomadic has been featured in The Washington Post, USA Today, and The Sunday Times in Australia. But who cares about that – it’s the little guys, the independent news outlets, and each and every one of the Yomadic readers (that’s you) – that mean the most to me.
Yomadic is authentic travel advice, from a genuine traveller. I’ll show you how to get into Iran with a one way ticket and no visa, and how to dine on a Michelin star meal in Hong Kong for less than ten bucks. I’ve dished out phone numbers for a friendly Tuk Tuk driver in Cambodia, and a driver with a fleet of classic cars in Burma. Maybe you would like to visit a two thousand year old abandoned city in a middle eastern desert, for 14 cents? It’s all in here.
Thousands of people have enjoyed my ongoing series of “Photos from the Mean Streets” – where you can come eye-to-eye with locals from all over the globe. And my landscape photos will show you the best parts of the world. I’ve featured abandoned communist party headquarters, and more than one peoples uprising.
Occasionally, I will let you know what I’m really thinking.
I guarantee you will see travel destinations you have never seen before, and you’ll read stories you won’t find anywhere else.
Yomadic will always remain unique, honest, thought provoking, and entertaining.
My word is my bond, and all the photos, are all from my camera. No exceptions.
