Shot with possibly the best lens Nikon ever made in my view anyway, 300mm f2.8 AFi, a forerunner to the Afs I lens I enjoyed owning for a few years. Sadly gone.

It looks like the same bird that we in Washington call a goldfinch. Any chance that they flew across the Atlantic since the last ice age? The males are a bright gold, and females are plain brown.

Nice and perky . Nick how is the lens on the Fuji? I use the EF 400 f5.6 L on the OM-D and get some great results. I'd love a 300 f2.8 .

Julian the 300mm was attached to my D3, using it on the end of a Fuji body would have been a laugh, tbh I find bigger lenses on the X pro or the Xt a bit cumbersome really, would love a nice small 135 f2> I have a
nice Zuiko 100mm f2.0 which is really nice, must get out and use it more on the Fuji's its the right size and weight.

Yes Nick for sure these big lenses on the OM-D are ridiculous. Yet for those one of occasions when the reach is welcome they allow for some superb shots. Always a challenge with manual focus also.
