Hi all,

I found this forum through 35mmc and already saw some familiar names around here. That feels great!

I’m a boring middle-aged Siberian-Manchu-Japanese man who moved from the far north to Tasmania. I started photography about 19 years ago when I was working as a journalist. These days I take photos mostly for my wife and for girls I don’t really know much about. I also love writing stories and playing guitar and drums. I use the heaviest Les Paul for the heaviest metal. If you’re a fan of all-girl metal bands like Nemophila or Hanabie, talk to me.

Looking forward to chatting, learning, and seeing what everyone’s up to. Best wishes from down south,

Eagle Omomuro

Welcome Eagle. I'm one of the older forum members. My work as a digital darkroom and photo restoration specialist in the Dallas, Texas region keeps me busy. My main photo style is documentary but I'm also my family historian. I'm one of those who never migrated to digital but not because I think there is something wrong with it. I just prefer my Canon F1-n and Contax G2 with those Zeiss lenses. Here's a link to another RPF forum where I introduce myself: https://realphotographersforum.com/threads/film-v-digital.26451/post-205587 Again, welcome to the forum. This image of Dallas from 2018 was achieved by shooting 13 exposures on the same frame of film. Loved shooting with the Noblex.

I never did get along with my Les Paul (or strat for that matter). At 71 y.o. I did just get a new Epiphone 335 that blows away the "real" 335 that I had 40 years ago. Glad to see you here Eagle!

The Eagle has landed! (Sorry, most likely that line has been overused ... couldn't help myself.)

Welcome to RFP. Looking forward to shots from Tasmania.
