The Herons are nest building at this time of year so now is a great time to catch them in flight as they to-and-fro from the Heronry.

A mooch at Stanley Park in Blackpool today.

Very good, Dave. The first one is extraordinary. What camera and lens did you use?

Again I'm green of envy. They are so well done that I am in awe. I know how difficult it is to get close to them, well I guess everywhere it's like that. Are you really getting so close to them that you do not have to crop and in that case are you using a hide? No matter what, 1 - 4 -5 I fancy a little more than the others, but just by a millimeter. Just great.

WOW now they are special..... great captures, amazing detail.......!!

Nice ones Dave, much cropping involved or full frame???

I've been trying to get some Herons in flight at the Heronry at Washington WWT, the only problem is the Heronry is on the other side of a lake so they are a bit too far for anything half decent:(.
