So what's everyone doing this evening? Me and Hannah have opted for the staying in doing bugger all option!

So this is my plan for the evening ...

Watching "Kind Hearts and Coronets" on BBC4...and playing with my iPad. As a non-drinker, tonight is the most tedious night of the year, especially in Scotland...Looking forward to more photos in this thread. Come on, boys and girls, entertain me! :)

Happy New Year everyone - For me, dinner at home with swmbo - maybe some Bushmills in there somewhere :)

Dinner at fav Italian restaurant... check.
Walk about Boston...check.
iPhoto ice sculptures...fail.
Scotch...Baileys poured...check.
Watch fireworks over harbor in 2 hours...doubt it.
Happy New Year all!

Same option H chose to lead off this post. (First time in a long time that we've stayed home on Hogmanay.) SWMBO and I are dining on the remains of last night's pizzas (home made) and I am devouring the remainder of my growler of Hanger 24 Double IPA (my favorite beer of all). The bubbly I will pop open soon. My final camera purchase of 2013 arrived today. I'm not saying what it is but the purchase of it was inspired by @Rob MacKillop. I can't shoot it though because the film hasn't yet arrived! :(

Happy New Year to all RPFrs! :)

Went out to uncle in law's house for buffet and a few drinks. Nice evening. Toasted in new year. Came home. Took photograph. Went to bed. What was photograph?tmp_IMG_77759696132831669013681.jpeg

We've battened down the hatches and are just waiting for the power or telephone to go again. My friend up the lane was without electricity for three days over Christmas and we had no internet for eight days. We've seen half fallen trees hanging over the lines on the other side of the river, so I'm going to be quiet again - probably for some time. The cellar is flooded again and the river looks like it's going to burst it's banks. That will be the third time this holiday... :(
