HDR/fisheye

Just experimenting with my new lens. Loving it!!
I carried out a few tests etc.....
I have noticed it has a very high contrast in every shot taken no matter where you are, what you take, and whatever setting you use. The histogram has a field day on when that lens is on. Alot of highlights and shadows detected.
So I thought I'd try some layering and get some balanced out tones in the take.

This is an example of 7 shots in one processed through Photomatix Pro then LR3.
Not to over HDR'd I hope

And here is a single shot processed through LR. Man, this thing is wide! I love it! The angle that is, not the misses, she'd kill me if she knew I said that!!

Overall, I'm quite chuffed with the results of this lens.
I've been chirping on about a wide angle for ages, so I'm I'm happy that I've got this.
Build quality is brilliant, it has a nice solid heavy structure to it.
Image quality, some may say I'd be too generous to give it 7/10.
But but not much is to be expected with £220 really, I've had a go on the zuiko Olymus at LCE when they had it in a few months back and that I must say is an impressive bit of image quality producing bit of glass.
However, digging deeper at half a grand, tis to be expected!

Fisheye shall be attracted to the Oly for a while I should imagine. :p

Thanks for looking :)

Really interesting! I love the second one especially. The first is maybe a little overworked, but I still like it. But I love the comp in the second, and colours too. Looks a lot of fun.

Thanks Rob,
It is alot of fun, but very very manual.
You can't focus through the viewfinder as the scale of the frame too very vast to see a specific point to focus on.
Apature is manual too..... It's a working mans lens this! :D:D

Wobbly wide world!! I like that! :D:D
Weally wobbly wide world wonder lens......:D:D:D

Fisheye is great DD I love mine and use it no where near enough, love using it in the car though and your shot is a great one very Top Gear from some top gear :D:D

That shot you did Kev with your fisheye is fantastic!!
I remember that! It's what made me save a few pennies for this badger. :)
Hope your doing well :)

Cheers Dan I'm OK ish still got a few health issues going on but still waking up in the morning, when that doesn't happen I'll start worrying :D
