Heeere's Johnnys!

That title may not mean anything to the UK RPFers or RPFers in other far-flung parts but the "Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson ran on US television for several decades and Johnny's right hand man always announced the star in the way I have tried to emulate in the title above, with a very long eeee. In other words, the title is an admittedly feeble attempt at cleverness on my part. :o

Took this one from the hip with the Oly XA while perambulating along Main Street in Huntington Beach on Sunday. I had the 7D around my neck, and it dwarfed the XA and I think tended to obscure its very existence.

Nicely observed Brian and not a reference to Jack Nicholson's performance in Stanley Kubrick's film of The Shining after all - although it may have developed along those lines had you been spotted!! I like the fact that you don't really know what is going on but something about his expression draws you in somehow.

Thanks Pete. That line uttered by Nicholson in The Shining as he stuck his head in the hatcheted door was actually a homage to Ed McMahon's catch-phrase introduction to the Tonight Show. The expression became part of the American lexicon. Thanks again, Pete.

Very voyeuristic Brian - especially with the girls face peeping in top left

Very effective - good job he didn't spot you!

Thanks Chris. Ever since my encounter with Natty Blue Fedora Man in San Francisco a few weeks ago I'm a bit more wary. If somebody I want to snap happens to be looking straight at me or, even more forbodingly, right at my camera, I think twice.
